And is it cheaper to filter out the ethanol then to buy fuel without ethanol or with a lower percent of ethanol?

You *can* remove ethanol from gasoline by adding water until the water bonds to the ethanol and the two of them separate out from the gasoline.... BUT, ethanol is an octane booster, so what you're gonna end up with is gonna probably be like 70 octane gas... So the engines you put it in might knock...
