I have a friend in southern Sweden (Blekinge county) who finds themselves in a bind; they have a growing disability, due to an injury, that results in them having increasing trouble taking care of themselves. Their child, a young adult, will eventually want to move out, leaving them without help. Their insurance apparently refuses to cover them due to a pre-existing condition, which is apparently a thing in Sweden? I am too far away to be of useful, local assistance, especially since I don't speak the language. Does anyone local or familiar know what their options are for healthcare, assistance, maybe legal aid? Boosts welcome 🙏🏻
