I think there is a big difference whether artists sell/somehow financially live off B2C or if it's a B2B strategy. My Instagram activity falls entirely into the latter category, so as long as the remaining art world sticks to the platform it doesn't matter much whether non-artists leave.

@neopostmodern thank you for bringing in that terminology differences, i tried to express that, i agree that's a big point to take in account. I wonder if - as some institutions progressively shift to fediverse - we are seeing more B2B artists over here, while the B2C (certain scene of musician, tatoo artist, hairdresser, etc) feel more stuck. Can i ask what you do as a B2B practice that feel stuck in instagram because the corresponding art world stays there?
