Here's a deep gasshō to all those who fully embrace the liberating practice of Buddhism across the soteriological and social axes - Ambedkar, the International Network of Engaged Buddhists, the Buddhist Peace Fellowship, Avalokitesvara in all she/his/their forms, my heroic colleagues struggling against opression in academia who are too many to mention (like Ann Gleig), the lineages and teachers who are still vibrant (like Joan Halifax and Khenpo Sodargye), those who have recently gone to check out the kitchen in the Pure Lands (like Alan Senauke) and those from whom branches are still emerging (Taixu), and so many more.
