I'm going to start putting out the vibe that pensioner is the identity whereas UBI is the name for the payment. I live in a god's waiting room where 'pensioner' carries a similar weight to farmer: apparently it's embarrassing to be one so you have to go into every interaction blustering about how it's fine. You might have whatever feelings about being a pensioner or not, but qualifying for UBI is surely to be celebrated.
