@futurebird @minmi Are most/all ant queens mobile? I know that termite queens get huge and are stationary, but ant queens don’t physically change that much, do they?

@michaelgemar @minmi With the exception of some dichthadiigyne* army ant queens during the egg laying part of the colony's migrations all ant queens can move fast without much trouble. Even the dichthadiigyne army ant queen can still walk, she just slims down so she can *run* when the colony is on the move. *dichthadiigyne is a fun word for the shape of some huge ant queen bodies.
