@RoastbeefHashTag I agree in particular with the last point - younger generations miss out on so many aspects of technology that have been hidden/abstracted away in pursuit of simplicity and convenience.
I know many others are rolling their eyes with me on these threads, but it keeps happening? My new theory is that people are careless because the mindset is they're just checking their email quick, they're not thinking carefully about which button they're pressing and what it means.

@RoastbeefHashTag my poll right now is at 32 votes with not a single person admitting to always using reply-all; even accounting for the likely bias of polling fedi, that feels like a strong signal. And I don't think people are lying on their poll responses. But there's gotta be an explanation of why people answer that they understand this, then turn around and reply-all gratuitously in practice.
