The wording here is so fucked up imo. Bubbles "ingests content", authors have opted in to "mechanical consumption" by having public RSS feeds
It really lets you know how this developer views the indie web: if you didn't want your work to be literally devoured by LLMs, you shouldn't have made your sites so open and easy to access. It takes full advantage of the desire people have of wanting to share their work online and connect with others. It's fuckin gross

One of the most heartbreaking recent developments is that a lot of sites that used to have public RSS feeds have gotten rid of them, specifically because of shitty practices like this. In order to protect yourself from getting your ""content"" fed into these models, folks have to make their sites harder for normal people to access. Because if you maintain a public RSS, well, don't you know you're consenting to being fed into the machine? 🥴
