D2D's UBL / Books2Read service had quite a long outage today. Apparently, they use Heroku to run it. Heroku bills itself as an AI service but also they've been around for 19 years so it's more probable that they've lately taken to calling themselves an AI service like other real companies that have succumbed to grift. I only got my updates ready a little before their service came back online. Their outage made me feel a little weird about relying on them for my book links. That's a more easily solvable problem than the problem of discoverability but I'm not sure how much I want to focus on that issue. #Draft2Digital #IndieAuthor #WritingCommunity
