The artifact is evidence of their work, yes, but it also joins us together, evidence of our shared humanity as we are both looking in the same direction for a time, drawn toward something that has enchanted us both.
And I think this is a sharpened reason why AI "art" is not art. It is that skip from ideation to end product that literally leaves the art out of the picture.

But beyond that, the ideator has only deemed the direction they would look worthy of the merest glance, so why would I afford it more than that? The image is there, but the enchantment is missing. /fin
