@kai It depends on the goal. In this image, the values are read from the UFO, which makes them more versatile.
When reading from font files, you might see them more unified because of metrics overrides.

@frankrolf ok I think we are talking past each other. Let’s take the first glyph there in that second picture. The value for descender, x-height, cap height and ascender are indicated with horizontal lines at, as one might hope, different heights. But each of these lines also has a label. All labels read “801”… is that expected behaviour?
