@RantingCanuck This reminds me of a personal rant. Switching to renewables requires **bootstrapping** building renewables. If you do not electrify the process of purifying silicon, you cannot make silicon-based solar cells You can theoretically fab the chips needed to manage wind turbines, but you need to really build them, at home. You must build grid-scale power storage. If you do not, you are just switching dealers, not gaining sovereignty. That's cosplaying independence.
