@gigabecquerel Brushes a little way up the belt means that the lower roller can be conductive and grounded - No isolated supply needed for the motor then. IIRC the charge sprayer runs at around 5kV, will ask.

@PatrickHerd @gigabecquerel As far as I understand, it's "just" a matter of spraying on charge on the cold end, and then collecting the charge on the hot end? Thereby more charge per same belt speed equals more current? What are the design constraints for the top roller? Metal/plastic, floating or connected to the HV terminal? Just found out that my local home improvement store sells pvc tablecloth, it's literally screaming "turn me into a VDG belt"
