@knowprose I'm also still mulling this over too, in similar but different directions.
Clearly "space is cold" comes from cultural tropes, and almost none of us have experiences, either sensory or intellectual, that actively contradict it.
I think that without moments that snap us back to clarity, most knowledge gets hazy. And all the more so when there's something gently and passively undermining it.

@knowprose For me, it's less about contradicting the cold narrative with a heat narrative (which could be easy, of course, given that water boils immediately in space!). It's more about creating moments to resharpen. This might be hearing a perfect succinct argument (e.g. "thermos flask!") or it might be when we refresh and check our own thoughts. Related to the your post earlier today, writing is great for that kind of due diligence on our ideas! :-)
