@adrianh Agreed. They were first, and bad, but I reminded myself that iWork and iLife used to be add-ons, and to let it go. (But I didn't love it.)

@rjbs It's how they did it too. Pay extra $$ for "pro" functionality — sure. That is _very_ Apple :-) A nag-ware user experience that's continually trying to trick you into subscribing for stuff, automatic “upgrades" on i[Pad]OS that fundamentally change the commercial relationship with an app, etc. — not so much. I've been happily paying the Apple $$$ since the 90s for the hardware and a the UX. They seem to be actively forgetting about the latter in the last year or so… :/
