Of course there's more to see at the coast than just these derelict houses. Yehliu Geopark is just 3km to the north (just 5 minutes by bus). It's a bit touristy, but still cool to see. On the peninsula, there are sandstone structures shaped by erosion. Some seem to be close to collapsing.

Most tourists stop at the shop at the end of the sandstone plateau. But the path through the geopark continues uphill into a forest and bird watching area apparently. It's nice, quiet, a bit less hot and probably the first time I haven't heard any human made noise since we landed 3 days ago. #TripToTaiwan
