Then a final petition on extending some benefits to UC employees, eg teachers - funded by a grassroots effort. So it was an interesting "sandwich" of widely popular causes that would benefit working people, and some faux-moderate junk that was funded by billionaires. Can't help but feel that structure was intentional. Something to watch out for in your neighborhood maybe.

@jplebreton@mastodon.social Yeah, those are Mayor Lurie's executive power grab measures. Thanks for the heads-up on this tactic. I hate that they're using transit funding to whitewash it. Lurie also put his name on the local Muni funding measure: it's "Mayor Lurie's Ballot Committee," so transit lovers will think he's good and they should also back the power grab... or conversely, some will come to distrust transit measures.
