It taken a few tries isn't as much of a problem as the fact that I keep scraping the inside when I put an earring in and causing pain and potentially infection.
I think the "Darnit, did I somehow get an infection in my decade old piercing AGAIN?" is the "I need to have someone check this" line.

@EmilyGB2023 Had that happen with my left ear, I couldn't find the hole and accidentally started trying to punch a new one. Weirdly, I mostly sleep on my right side, and it was the problem child when I got them pierced, so I have no idea why the left is now the one that gives me trouble. @bridget
