@KekunPlazas I was thinking that Mandarin would be a good option to test out translation dictionaries but couldn't find an epub dictionary... Until I found the Collins Mandarin Chinese Visual Dictionary! In retrospect this is probably more what an intrepid adventurer would be looking for in a hurry anyway
There's broad scope for quality of survial books I'm guessing. As long as you're able to get a decent epub my guess is most survival books would be fine.
Unfortunately I'm not well versed with botanicals. Any recommendations on specific reference books I can look out for?
I think it's a pretty cool idea to have a bug-out collection of travel ebooks that you can side load in a hurry, I'll defo be carrying my kobo next time I go camping with the family 🏕️

@nicr9 Nothing to recommend unfortunately, I'm just exploring many things these days, in preparation for some lightweight trips. I spent 20 days last Summer with only a 22 litres backpack and I really liked it, I'd like to do it again while I'm at the same time trying to depend way less on my smartphone, which implies finding really lightweight and small alternatives to what I used it for.
