@ClemensPitschke I envy you! Where did you make recordings? In my area (southern Poland), there are two places where black grouses live. One is national park and it's hard to record them there. Second one are wetland, but there are only 15 pairs. I've been trying to record grouses there for 3 years now. All I have found was one female, one feather and feces.

@szarareneta In the Altenberg/ Zinnowitz area on the Czech border. There are probably populations on the Czech side but we have been there for the local forestry service. We had 3 male and 5 female birds today and both were quite active for about 1 hour.
