  Da ich gerade eine #Biografie über den Ornithologen James Bond lese, habe ich mich gefragt, was gab es eigentlich für berühmte Ornithologinnen aus der Zeit (frühes 20 Jh. oder eher). Wenn man berühmte Ornithologinnen in die Suchmaschine eingibt, werden trotzdem erst einmal Männer ausgepuckt 😐 Wenn man noch Frauen dahinter schreibt kommen dann mal ein paar brauchbare Ergebnisse. Emilie Snethlage klingt spannend. Leider finde ich keine Buch zu ihr. Hat wer eine Empfehlung? #birds #books

  Endlich wieder eine "neue" alte Kamera. Die alte Praktica von meinem Vater war leider selbst nach Reparatur irgendwann nicht mehr zu gebrauchen. Habe mich jetzt ein Jahr rumgedrückt und nun endlich dieses gute Stück bei kleinanzeigen geholt.   Been looking and listening for the Black Grouse again. This time with success. Saw and recorded both male and female. Due to a lack of a proper camera here is a shot taken through my bins of the female bird perched in a tree. Also a lovely work desk.   Raven is now free and the workbench software Cornell has developed looks very promising/ intuitive for what it is. Next item on my to-do list - learn this stuff!!!
