@gneilyo Counterpoint: it takes 2/3 of the Senate to remove the president if impeached. I’d prefer that they use their time and effort doing PRACTICAL things to derail the administration and undo the damage they’ve done. Not that I have much faith that will happen either…..

    @mls14 @gneilyo Countercounterpoint: when someone is so obviously in dire need of a thorough impeaching, there is value in forcing republicans to publicly refuse to do so - and if by some remote chance some of them actually grow a spine and a conscience and support impeachment, even better.

    @mls14 The Dems aren't going to accomplish anything practical with Trump unilaterally shuttering departments and starting wars. They need to show some fight and put unrelenting focus on Trump's crimes and the harm he's caused, but Jeffries is signaling the Dems just want to let it all blow over. That's not what Democratic voters want. That won't inspire the base to take the day off work and stand in line for hours to vote. It's a plan to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
