@bobthomson70@mastodon.social surely that should be "Yup, everyone using Gen AI just now is like heroin users who started just by trying it out". The hits are addictive and repeat and behavioural conditioning/intermittent reinforcement/increasing dependency as the brain degenerates means that they keep coming back from more even if and when they realise that the results are bad.
