Our Christmas flight to Houston to see family got cancelled due to inclement weather and as I was reaching out to cancel travel plans my new pet/house sitter texts me and said that he wanted to double his rates. Mind, he negotiated rates a month before and he texted me his new rate just as we were scheduled to check in at the airport when it would've been too late to make alternate arrangements. I felt crazy relief to be able to tell him that we didn't need his services anymore.
