Not too sure how I feel about Blender receiving sponsorship feom Anthropic.
From one point - Blender needs funds; without the funds there's no Blender. Being picky from who you receive donations from isn't really an option for any larger FOSS project that has people employed.
From another point - what is Anthropic aiming to gain from this? Influnce in Blender's development / policies? I think unlikely. Trying to mend its public image / gain cred within artists? Likely.

@rodlie@mastodon.social They can also do that without donating, right?

@petrikas@mastodon.art https://fund.blender.org/funding-policy/ > When large donations come in, or when major organizations join the Fund, the existing planning can be accelerated or augmented, but the priorities themselves originate from the project.
