I see Aldi is struggling https://www.perthnow.com.au/news/business/retail/supermarket-war-aldi-australias-profit-plunge-as-shoppers-fall-out-of-love-with-its-cheap-products-c-22211936# A big failing is both short term (daily) and long term stock control is poor. For time poor families it’s a big problem if stuff is not there. The real problem though is that there are essentials they just don’t sell. It’s fine for me, as I have all the time in the world. #aldi

@andyjennings I did notice the other day at my local Aldi that shelf stock was well down to the usual. I just thought it was more a sign of the times than anything. They’ll still have my support because they are cheaper & I mostly get what I want.

@andyjennings I never know whether I'll be able to buy milk or fresh fruit at Aldi

@andyjennings Meh. They promised years ago to update their website & then offer home delivery. Never happened, although you can use a 3rd party to deliver these days, which isn’t what they promised.

@andyjennings I think trying to compete with Bunnings was wrong.
