🧠 what if satellites made of wood (45 minutes later) 👨 today i learned... kyoto university put a 10x10x10 cm wooden cubesat into orbit in 2024 LignoSatthere are some metal parts. but the chassis is assembled using traditional japanese joinery, no screws or glueit couldn't establish communication :blobsad:they're trying again next year with another that's 10x10x20cmas an engineering material, wood exhibits "strong vacuum tolerance"
