@ekuber @bitprophet @dalias @cliffle yep, was just pulling up this image showing the layout of the Basic Multilingual Plane (i.e. 1/16th of Unicode). The Wikimedia Commons has a version updated for Unicode 17.0 (not that much has changed at this level of detail)

@ekuber @bitprophet @dalias @cliffle and the same author has created maps of other planes (with allocations, since the unallocated ones don't have anything to visualize yet) which are less interesting structurally, because it turns out the BMP is a pretty good size for its purpose https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plane_%28Unicode%29
