@tobestobs prefers-contrast is all about accessibility, as far as I understand. The issues of dark mode readability are more complex than just ”fonts need to be thinner.” And the switch from contrast to layout shifts – it just feels narratively a bit abrupt.

@mwichary Wasn't meant to be snitchy, just thought Adam might be able to contribute here, apologies... 100% agree that accessibility definitely is a much deeper topic here. I'm just happy that people learn more about grade and how it can contribute. I did not read this as "do this and you're done", though I can see the concern here
