There's something reassuring about the fact that one of the oldest ant websites on the internet, the Japanese Ant Image Database, is still online.

@alexwild@mastodon.online my old workplace ran a now defunct Drupal7-based website-as-a-service thing for exactly this kind of biology/taxonomy site, it's fun to know static html has outlived that hot mess
