I seek a social media life free from the insidious data harvesting, tracking and surveillance from companies who think they have a god given right to every single aspect of my private life for their profit.

@Anomnomnomaly yes, well, this is advantage of choosing Fediverse over other platforms. But still, if you choose better place over worse place, I can still ask why are you at any of these places. Sure it has different quality, but this is not the primary reason; it is kind of personal preference, but it is not answer "what I want to do at this better place?". The poll is good, but my queation is wrong. Of course, nobody likes to belong to community which does not believe that it offers some advantages... I see your point: yes, we do it better, but... what is this thingwe do? :masto_wink:
