Seems like it's finally starting to happen, Firefox is adding WebGPU to its next update on Windows: https://mozillagfx.wordpress.com/2025/07/15/shipping-webgpu-on-windows-in-firefox-141/ This could open the door for way more ambitious webgames and experiences, but it's still a ways off from being supported by every browser on every platform.
