Ladies and gentlemen, we've got a live one. This is an area of particular expertise for me, as it's what I spent my postdoc on. The way we treat youth, particularly Black and Brown youth, in the school system, at the very best possible interpretation Does Not Help. We are teaching Black and Brown kids that adults do not give a shit about them, and it is contributing to a truly staggering suicide rate.
