Another appointment today. This time we covered "wishes for treatment" and "understanding". The "wishes for treatment" section was my least favorite so far. Opening up to a complete stranger about my experiences with genital dysphoria in past sessions was uncomfortable, but trying to explain in detail why I want a vaginoplasty definitely topped things. I shouldn't need to tell a random cis woman about my desires for vaginal penetration during sex acts with my wife in order to access health care. At least this subject is hopefully well covered now in her write-up and I won't need to repeat the experience. Next appointment is in a month, where we will cover "social network" and "resilience".

Today we covered "social network", which was mostly comprised of me listing out the notable people in my life and what my relationship with each person is like. I don't understand the point, but it was much easier to talk about than some of the other subjects. Next up we will talk about "resilience" and "psychosexual development". The person I'm working with had never mentioned the latter until today, so I don't know if this was always part of the plan or if it was slipped in because of something I did/didn't say. I've got a check-in appointment with the main person's boss next week to ask how things are going, and the week after that we're back to our typical itinerary. I am getting really impatient with all of this. If my savings account was larger I'd consider just skipping this, going to Spain, and paying myself :/
