there is a series of university lectures on YT explaining vacuum tube (thermionic valve) amplifier circuits, as used in guitar amplifiers, but taught using the "modern" electrical engineering teaching style

the "modern" style includes "notation, tools for doing analysis, and other implicit assumptions" that result in... this as well as explicit reminders for those growing up in _this_ millennium that designers back in the day *didn't have* SPICE, CAD, or even (in many cases) calculators
