The actual quote is “For my team, the cost of compute is far beyond the costs of the employees,” which doesn’t say much about whether human labor or AI is more expensive by result, but merely that his budget for people is lower than his budget for AI/compute. Which is to be expected and which, re compute, is also probably true for any small web hoster well-versed in Terraform and Ansible, and has highly automated processes.
