walking to work i pass a gas station - this morning gas was $4.59 and this afternoon on my way home it was $4.99. i’m taking this as confirmation that things are, indeed, going super well.

@studiofox@beige.party I filled up half a tank this morning at $4.29 a gallon. Drove past the same station on the way home and it's $4.99 a gallon. Ugh. Should've gotten a full tank.

@studiofox@beige.party quite apart from the magnitude of the price this takes that stupid thing of always pricing things to end in 9 rather than roll over to the next proper round amount to a ridiculous level given that it adds "9/10" of a cent on the end. Just round it up for the love of goat, duw duw.

@studiofox@beige.party Greetings from Germany, Diesel is at the moment 2.109EUR/liter which makes it $9.31/gallon... and you can expect that punctually at 1200h (so in about an hour) it increases by 0.10€/l...
