  • It is my life mission or something. No I don't get tired of it.

  • No, I work pretty hard to scorn all the republicans and other filth I encounter. It's honestly pretty invigorating.

That's impossible. You pick a slice and donate or volunteer to improve that group. Words do nothing, you have to actually get out and do something.

No, I don't guess. If you want to make life easier, get rid of the billionaires and stop making clown laws. It is actually this simple. We just have a critical mass of mouth breathers and the exploiters they let cuck them.

It's not your job to solve everything for everyone. Find one or two things you really believe in and put your best into that (and your best will vary). Remember that you can't and shouldn't try to do it all yourself. Find other people who share your values. This is all a group project. ![It can be overwhelming to witness/experience/take in all the injustices of the moment; the good news is that they're all connected. So if your little corner of work involves pulling at one of the threads, you're helping to unravel the whole damn cloth.](https://lemmy.world/pictrs/image/79be3e77-5a90-4da9-9223-c872e5979eea.jpeg)

Nope. I'm barely capable of managing my own life.

  • A rising tide and all that. Things that would benefit me that I work to will also benefit others. End of the day you still need to look out for yourself overall. Just don't be a jerk who wants to take away the ability for others to get better is all.

The people who are satisfied with status quo are the beneficiaries of it. People like Epstein can't exist without a universe of assholes who figure it's not their problem.

No, not really. But I'm also lost as to what you mean.

I'm not writing policy. That makes all of my solutions to fixing the world brilliant. And pointless.

Yeah. I've been trying not to worry to much about social issues that are far behind my control. Too much of that is just anxiety-inducing for me. The main function of a democratic republic is to elect leaders who are supposed to worry about solving problems so that we, as individuals, dont have to and can instead focus on doing other things. The sad truth is that we all have so little faith in the people who are in charge that we take it upon ourselves to try to figure out the answers to society's privilege, but for what? Even if we think we have the answer, we don't exactly have the means to enact it when we aren't anywhere near the levers of power. If we really want to make policy, we have to get more politically involved and maybe even run for office. Everything short of that is just venting or an intellectual exercise.

You might want to read about the concept of codependency and see if it sounds like what you're dealing with.

Nup! It's the only thing that keeps me going. It helps me get out of bed and fills me with hope and purpose.

No need to guess. For the average world citizen, most quality of life metrics have been on a constant upward trend since WW2.

Place renewables every where, easy. It doesnt need to be non polluting. And if you were really serious about pollution you'd get rid of the cars everywhere and build public transport. This shit isnt rocket science or hard. Its obfuscated on purpose by the wealthy.

I have no power. No one listens to me. Case in point; this thread.

You were just unsatisfied with the simplicity of the solutions. Because we're neck deep in capitalist bullshit the solutions actually are that easy. Just install renewables. Its that easy. Stop electing silver spooned babies who just feed corporations more power, its that easy look into who you are voting for, its literally that easy. Make unions, its that easy to get worker power back. Just have fucken unions. None of this shit is rocket science and you are floundering in learned helplessness like our situation actually *IS* insurmountable. It is not, not by any means of the word.

Oh right, I forgot I had all the power and was the president of the world right now. Let me just call up Goldman Sachs, tell them fossil fuel investment is cancelled. I already answered this question you are being obtuse on purpose. I dont have power. I can get my own solar panels, I can't pay for the fucken city to have them. I can lobby my community, I can't lobby California where I dont live. You are purposefully misunderstanding what I am saying in an attempt to try to make this stuff seem complicated and in need of a 150k point plan, its not. You just need the people with power to actually push for the things I am saying instead of dipping their heads in the power and greed cups. It is simple, you are refusing to see it for whatever reason, Idk maybe you're a chud with the way you're arguing this is *solo* **soooo** hard, and if its not why hasn't your poor powerless ass changed the world?

Organise. Even if it’s just mentally. They want you in despair. They want you scared to lift your head. Remind others of their worth, as that message won’t come from upwards. You be the magnificent human you are and do the jive turkey dance.

I’ve been tired of it. I don’t have all of the answers for you. I’m not your speaker. I get told that I’m full of shit or that I’m wrong even when I do actually present honest and truthful methods in how to go about undoing the damage being caused onto all of us. In the end, all I’m caring about and looking out for is me and a few others. You’re on your own, you need to be the one stepping up, you need to be the one to come up with your own opinions and thoughts. More importantly, you need to be the one to take that action. I can’t do everything for you and nobody should just because you won’t.
