@mauro Still listening but I do hear the kid samples. I think they were intended to be creepy but they made me laugh for some reason. The "I Love You" sample had some interesting effects on it - which could seem overly processed cause it was laid on thick.
I can see why I slept on this when it came out. I was heavily Autechre-pilled at that time and also getting more into ATR, Shizuo, and actual noise. The beats on Music Has seem like they would've been outdated in 1998.

@kevin after re-listening to it today, my biggest put off are the beats, so I might agree with you. I'm not much into trip-hop in general, but for example I much prefer the rhythmic work of Geogaddi, I actually quite like it. I'm a huge Aphex Twin fan myself! And I love Autechre as well. But I'm getting to like BoC I think, they're very peculiar in a way that at a first listen it's hard to realise. At least for me.
