@britt @drewtowler I can ... somewhat relate, in that I seem to have more trouble performing manual dexterity-related things when I know somebody's watching me. This is why I tend to avoid making myself a plate if there's others in the kitchen that might be looking at me. But I think mine has more to do with being underestimated almost chronically, be it perceived or actual. Doing things when I'm by myself is somehow more effective in a way I can't really put my finger on

Maybe it's a focus thing, if there's an observer your brain is constantly pulling your attention away from the task and towards your perception of how you might seem to the observer.
