Oh ffs. Now to research if there are good-UX distros that are debian-based but not ubuntu-based. In my copious free time.

@detritus@todon.eu There’s an amazingly good distro that’s Debian-based, easily maintainable, and comes with a selection of desktop environments to choose from. It’s called Debian.

@detritus@todon.eu rumor has it that #linuxmint will avoid the ubuntu ai stuff. as far as i can tell, this has not been confirmed really. but maybe by using the tag here, i will conjure this to be true! 🪄 disclosure: i have been a mint user for like a decade? too long for me to know if it is "usable" versus i just got used to it? 😂
