Job for today: Clean up the sharp edges on the tomato cages so I don't look like I have been in a fight with a bobcat every time I pick .These cages were made from fencing wire & are 60 in. high and 18 in. in dia. with 4 x 2 mesh. (Metric conversions in alt text) Larger openings were created by cutting away some of the mesh at regular intervals but sharp edges were left by the cutters I originally used, so today I cleaned it all up with a grinder.

I should probably explain that there are 12 of these cages, each having about 10 openings cut into them and each opening has 6 spots that needed grinding making a total of 720 sharp edges to grind. At least it's a "sit-down-job" 😀

@richrollgardener Really wish I could find woven wire field fencing (the kind with 6" x 6" openings) in something less than 330' rolls. Had some scraps at our last house and they made the best tomato cages.
