@johannab I am not convinced AI scribes are of any benefit. Given how much standard dictation systems struggle to make sense of the spoken word, I can’t see how AI can do any better, nor create a decent summary of events. At the moment, if AI is used, it has to be double checked for accuracy anyway, so can’t see much time benefit. Scribbled bullet points as an aide memoire are still what I use for phone consults and face to face if needed.

@nusher Absolutely. I worked in imaging IT for 20+ years, mainly in the space known as "integration". Dictation/transcription was a part of that, though the coding and machine intelligence development was way beyond my scope. But I did so. much. troubleshooting. with physicians and hospital IT teams. These were effective systems and not at all "standard" dictation, but it seriously takes weeks with intense technical services experts on hand for each implementation. Every single user and voice.
