@Garabato Was this triggered by the recent ATFbooru/Subscribestar news or is it unrelated? It's not just about NSFW and lolisho stuff, taking insults and "kys" threats on the Internet personally is never wise or healthy regardless of what caused it. These people don't know you, they can only affect you if you let them. 1/3

@Garabato That said, I do think critical comments and even comments hating one's work can be useful in keeping one grounded. Artists often get a big ego and think that their farts don't stink and that they produce nothing but masterpieces, when they are just amateur doodlers or writers on the Internet, if they don't get confronted with any form of negativity. 2/3

@sunshineandlolipops @Garabato It's still a huge problem and it's foolish to not address it at all. Especially when these days some very young people get targeted and bombarded on every website over the littlest thing. Sometimes, it isn't a case of "they can only affect you if you let them". You can only be resilient for so long until the shit gets under your skin.
