@Garabato That said, I do think critical comments and even comments hating one's work can be useful in keeping one grounded. Artists often get a big ego and think that their farts don't stink and that they produce nothing but masterpieces, when they are just amateur doodlers or writers on the Internet, if they don't get confronted with any form of negativity. 2/3

  • @Garabato Like when I post my commissioned comics I'm often more interested in the comments I'll get on exhentai or Multporn rather than baraag because those are unfiltered. It's useful to be reminded that many people think my stories are shit, so I don't get worked up trying to get every detail right. Ironically it helps me take my works more easily. In the end one shouldn't get worked up over one's works or the comments they receive. None of it is important in the grand scheme of things. 3/3

    @sunshineandlolipops @Garabato That's a very, very good way to open yourself up to a whole lot of unwarranted abuse, for you're mistaken if you think most of those people lobbing those kinds of comments at you really care if you improve.
