@pheonix@hachyderm.io Agreed. "Special" characters in particular cause *so* many problems. They can appear in different places on different keyboards for a start, which can be a real problem when typing "blind" in a recovery console from a non-US keyboard. And most (all?) of them are "forbidden" in some context somewhere, sometimes with disastrous security consequences. Lookalike characters as well cause huge problems. Anything memorable is almost guaranteed to also be weak (and re-used). It's taken me a few years but I now have no memorable passwords at all, they're all long, random and unique, either in a password manager, a Yubikey or a device passkey now.
