Our university adopted a new platform for grad student application management. When I log in, the first thing that greets me is a banner for the platform’s “spirit shop”. Not tutorials or info about my apps.
Even if this platform were the paragon of usability, I cannot imagine the user journey the designer/developer had in mind with this choice.
A colleague asked if they sell punching bags in the spirit shop.

@smunson we have plenty of stories from a few years of using Slate… UCI created a separate frontend just for faculty to manage their part of it. But a spirit shop is truly next-level.
