@berto inb4 MS moves the entire graphics subsystem back into kernelspace again It would increase performance, but it'll make Windows more unstable. Just like the last time they did this back in Windows NT 4.

@berto reminds me a few years ago (well ~2001) I discovered #freebsd at work. It ran linux version of Netscape Navigator better than Linux was. Under Linux it crashed on a regular basis, the same binary running on FreeBSD almost never crashed.

@berto K2 will be just as successful as K1 was. Actually, I'm amazed how bad a platform has to get before they lose even a few percentage points and start to panic. MS will pretend to care, and everything will go back to the way it was. Our society has the attention span of a mosquito.
