People justify Blender taking Anthropic's money with "But they have accepted money from shady companies before!"
Bad past actions flying under the radar don't excuse bad present actions.
That said, it *is* an interesting question: is Blender accepting Anthropic's money fundamentally different from Adobe's money or Microsoft's money?

Of course recency bias plays a big part in this. Anthropic is a freshly hated thing. This is a fresh announcement from Blender. It kicks up a lot of fresh crap. Besides, we're already used to Microsoft or Meta sponsoring open source projects. We grumble at their attempt to polish their turds (remember "Microsoft ♥️ Linux"?) but we generally let it slip. {cont}
