Weird day. Road closures on the main route made for an empty (relatively) car-less cycle to work (including a detour)
Saw people walking in the middle of the closed road, we were cycling without stress.
I could even do some roadside botanising & admire the trees that I’m usually too “head down, get up that hill” busy to appreciate.
It was like living in a solar punk future for a while.
Now I just want to cycle around closed roads.

@Hellybootwader@mastodon.scot That sounds wonderful and you had the weather to make the most of it too. This reminds me of one of the fuel protests in 2000 there were very few cars on the road and road cycling was an absolute pleasure.
